Our experienced engineers will work with the latest software design tools to analyze and optimize a solution for your test facility. At Aiolos, we take great pride in having a full complement of engineering staff with suitable specialties to execute our projects, including:

Aerodynamics is at the heart of many of our projects. Aiolos has developed in house analysis tools for designing wind tunnels and aerodynamic systems. In addition, we use ANSYS ICEM CFD and ANSYS CFX to establish confidence in our engineering solutions.

In our mechanical design, we employ a combination of both AutoCAD and PTC Creo. This provides flexibility and efficiency to promptly design and execute projects. Design and structural analysis is conducted by using such software tools as Creo Simulate and ANSYS.

Our electrical and controls group designs the infrastructure needed to effectively implement complex test facility solutions, with increasingly tighter tolerances. This group regularly meets the design challenges imposed by demanding control accuracies and by harsh environmental conditions to which the equipment is often exposed.

The Aiolos thermal systems engineering group is proficient in creating efficient and economical refrigeration, humidity and air handling system arrangements to maintain extremely tight accuracies during the demands of dynamic loading. We employ the right balance of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and heat transfer methodologies in conjunction with decades of industry specific practical experience.

Aiolos staff is experienced with aeroacoustic and special acoustics projects. We use a combination of advanced Aiolos developed modeling programs, commercial ray tracing, FEM and boundary element method (BEM), utilizing LMS Raynoise and Sysnoise.

Project Management

We are successful at delivering high performance test facilities largely as a result of our custom design and construction responsibilities being executed through a phased project approach. Well defined, controlled phases are punctuated with internal review meetings. This method ensures that the specific objectives of a project have been fulfilled in accordance with the performance requirements and the agreed scope of supply.

The phased method also provides our clients with the opportunity to oversee the implementation of the technical requirements, with convenient points along the way where client concurrence can be solicited. Client participation continues throughout the project to ensure the greatest level of satisfaction.
