The Agency for Defense Development of South Korea unveiled its new advanced aircraft test center on 31 October 2007. The Environmental Test Facility (ETF), designed and built by Aiolos under contract to the Boeing Company, is one of two flagship facilities featured at this center. Following acceptance testing in early 2008, the ETF will provide precise simulation of extreme climatic conditions, including high and low temperature, humidity, solar heat radiation, wind, snowfall, and rainfall as required for the development of advanced military aircraft.
Press releases announcing the test center and the opening ceremony have been widely reported in the Korean news media.
