Aerodynamic Wind Tunnels

Aerodynamic wind tunnels produce a low turbulence, uniform flow field for accurate simulation in full-size vehicle testing. Nozzle sizes are large and boundary layer growth on the wind tunnel floor surface is controlled using a suction removal system and/or moving belt ground plane. Aerodynamic forces and moments on test vehicles are measured using internal or external balances.
